Police describe suspect

Officers learned that the unidentified person first gave the clerk a note announcing a robbery, then displayed a firearm. After receiving the money, the suspect left on foot.

Police said the suspect had a slender build and stood about 5 feet, 8 inches tall. The person was dressed in a blue rain poncho and wore a mask and gloves.

Paris police are continuing to investigate and ask anyone who knows about the robbery or can identify the suspect to call 903-784-6688.

Previous robbery reported on the same block

EastTexasRadio previously reported an armed robbery at a CEFCO convenience store on the same block. That incident occurred on May 23, though the report did not give a year.

The earlier report described the robber as a slim Black male dressed in a black hoodie, dark-colored pants and a mask. He entered with a firearm, demanded money and escaped on foot, possibly heading toward a nearby apartment complex.
